Business & Organizational Training
The Mountain Association regularly offers training for business owners and nonprofit leaders.
Some of these trainings are delivered by Mountain Association staff, while others are in partnership with regional and national partners. Trainings include introductory sessions, such as “Starting and Financing Your Business” led by Mountain Association staff in collaboration with the Kentucky Women’s Business Development Center, as well as more immersive business workshops, such as “Kauffman FastTrac” which is a six or twelve week long course.
Occasionally, the Mountain Association will offer other types of training in collaboration with regional and national partners. For example, we previously organized a training on Cooperative Business Ownership Structures with the Kentucky Center for Agriculture & Rural Development, as well as a training on story telling and communications for community members in collaboration with the Center for Story Based Strategies. In the future, we hope to offer trainings on strategies for increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion in collaboration with regional partners.
