Earlier this month we welcomed a New Energy Intern to the MACED staff. Zac Ebersole, a resident of Lawrence County, Kentucky, will be spending the next six months with our energy team, learning the ins and outs of commercial and residential energy efficiency auditing.
The New Energy internship trains participants on energy auditing, implementing energy efficiency upgrades, and on renewable energy systems. It also includes training on communications, sales and marketing, and small business startup skills.
Zac currently operates Blue Grace Revolutionize, a small business in his town of Martha, KY, where he does repurposed woodwork and other facelifts. He is seeking to add to his skillset and further develop his business through the internship program. Prior to becoming an intern, he worked in contract maintenance work, construction, as well as management. Zac is based in MACED’s Paintsville office. He and the rest of our team will be working throughout eastern Kentucky to provide efficiency services.
In order to train Zac as a New Energy intern, MACED is offering FREE audits in Johnson and surrounding counties, as well as Madison and surrounding counties. If your small business, non-profit, church, local government, or school wants to save on your electricity bills, now is the time! An audit includes a review of your current utility bills (these reviews alone have saved other enterprises hundreds to even thousands of dollars!).
