For Paws Unleashed is a pet boarding and grooming facility set on 10 acres outside of Richmond, Kentucky. It was founded by Ashley Renton in 2008 when she converted her family’s tobacco barn into a boarding facility.
Currently, Ashley employees 24 people and continues to grow.

Not only does For Paws provide boarding for cats and dogs, but they also offer grooming, day care, and even “pet taxi” service where they can pick up and drop off your pet. Other special features include web camera options, pampering, and more.
They also customize care for the needs of the given pet whether they are seniors or have unique health issues. If a dog isn’t social with other dogs they spent time one-on-one with staff in one of the outside grassy runs or indoor play yards.
“It’s our goal on a daily basis to provide the best care to our guests during their stay with us. We want to allow them to run and play or socialize with other dogs and enjoy their time while their parents are away,” Ashley said.
In addition to running regular promotions for local animal shelters and adoptable animals, For Paws plans a variety of fun, family friendly events throughout the year. From easter eggs hunts, to the Bow Wow Luau and the Howl-o-ween party. They can even throw special birthday parties for your pet.
“It’s a pure joy to take care of all the fur kids that come into our facility. We get to know them and love them.”
