For several months now, a group of farmers, health professionals, extension agents, community leaders, academics and advocates have been meeting to explore the opportunities in strengthening local food systems in Eastern Kentucky. Their next meeting, which is open to anyone who is interested, will be held Monday, January 23 from 10am-4pm at Morehead State University. This meeting will focus on clarifying what the group wants to achieve, and will form working groups around issues that folks are most interested in.
